No Need to Go It Alone!
Q: I enjoy my business and the work I do, but sometimes I feel so alone. I’m sure there are others who think as I do and it’s possible that that they may have faced issues that I have and maybe even have knowledge and solutions from which I can benefit. What’s the best way to connect with these kinds of people?
A: Once you have set up your business and you engage in building it day by day, it’s quite normal to look for ways / ideas to better achieve your goals. One method of connecting to other information is by forming or getting involved with what’s called by Napoleon Hill as a Master Mind group. This is defined as a group of one or more individuals who come together in the coordination of knowledge and effort in the spirit of harmony for the attainment of a definite purpose. There are two basic characteristics of this kind of group according to Hill:
- Economic: These kinds of advantages flow to anyone who surrounds themselves with a group who are willing to lend wholehearted assistance in achieving their goals. And the individual, after analyzing and understanding the counsel received, diligently applies it.
- Psychic: When the minds of two or more people are coordinated in a spirit of harmony, it’s akin to a group of batteries linked together which provides more energy than a single one. Further, the increased thought-energy created when a group of individual brains is coordinated and functions in harmony becomes available to every individual in the group.
Additionally, a further element of the psychic connection nature of the group is to create a “third mind” which taps into and draws power from the “the great universal storehouse of Infinite Intelligence” which is far greater than our mortal minds.
Does the Master Mind work? History says yes! Consider business greats from the past like Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford Thomas Edison and Harvey Firestone who were all part of such a group and prospered mightily.
